Privacy Notice

1. Who we are
RecruitIQ ("we", "us", or "our") provides the RecruitIQ recruiting tool. For personal data you provide while using the Service, RecruitIQ acts as the data controller.
2. Data we collect
- Account data — name, email address, login credentials, and authentication identifiers (e.g. Google account info if you sign in with Google).
- Coach and recruiting data — content you upload, including brochure images, player notes, ratings, watchlists, and contact details for players or teams you track.
- Support data — messages you send us and any information you include in them.
- Usage and device data — pages visited, features used, approximate location, browser/device type, and IP address.
Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our reseller Paddle — RecruitIQ does not see or store full card information.
3. How we use data
- Provide and operate the Service (contract performance).
- Authenticate you and secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse (legitimate interests / legal obligation).
- Process subscriptions and invoices via Paddle (contract performance).
- Respond to support requests and communicate about your account (contract performance / legitimate interests).
- Improve the Service through aggregated analytics (legitimate interests).
- Send product or marketing communications, where permitted (consent or legitimate interests — you can opt out at any time).
4. Who we share data with
- Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, database, email, analytics, and support tooling that help us run the Service.
- Paddle — our Merchant of Record, for sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
- Professional advisers — legal, accounting, or insurance advisers where reasonably needed.
- Authorities — where required by law or to protect our or others' rights.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Data retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw any consent you have given. You can exercise these rights by contacting us through the in-app support contact. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
7. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including by our hosting providers and Paddle. Where data is transferred out of the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege server access. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risk.
9. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are essential to run the Service (for example, to keep you logged in). We may also use limited analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
10. Children
RecruitIQ is intended for use by college coaches and recruiting staff and is not directed to children under 16.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be communicated by reasonable means.
12. Contact
Privacy questions can be sent through the in-app support contact.
